The performance gain of GPUs over CPUs has been studied for the simulated case which is a steady three dimensional (3D) flow past the diffuser channels of a centrifugal pump. The existing two-phase flow data for centrifugal pumps are reviewed. A short survey of previous work on the modelling of two-phase pump flow is made.

There are few models which attempt to cover the two-phase range from fully liquid to fully gaseous flow, and none has been found to predict the flow. An analytical model was developed to predict the radial pump single- and two-phase flow pressure distribution.

This distribution was compared with the test data for different suction void : Eugene Chisely. An analytical/semi-empirical model developed at MIT to correlate centrifugal-pump performance in two-phase flow was applied to experimental steam/water data produced by Combustion Engineering, Inc.
